OOOHH AHHH OOOH AH

Happy late 4th of July. Well it didn't start out happy. Lot's of rain. Things were pretty grim around here. Our friends oldest was getting married at 4p and we were hoping it would quit. Well it did and the wedding went on as planned, despite the quite cool conditions and dampness, it was a beautiful affair. We had so much fun. The bride came up the lane in a black convertible with the stereo blasting "Going to the Chapel" it was so cute. Congrats to Mike and Morgan. They leave for Mexico Sunday and then it's back to army life and starting their life together in Hawaii. I'm sure Mike will enjoy the beach and ocean after two tours in Iraq.
Wanted to post some photo's of our girlz day out. The YaYa's were along and it's always fun with those crazy girls.

We shopped, ate and enjoyed a quaint part of Iowa. Kalona is surrounded by Amish farms and we really had fun. We tried a new place called the Tuscan Moon. It is an Italian inspired cafe. We dined under the colorful umbrellas in an outdoor garden. It was perfect weather and delicious food. We all now know we love chiabata bread. Yummy. You can see some of the many barns with barn quilts on them. Isn't that so neat. Our visit to The Cotton Shop in Muscatine Iowa was great. They have a web site www.thecottonshoponline.com So drop by if you can. If you're ever near Muscatine IA give them a visit. Wonderful quilt shop and super friendly. Our last stop was the Farmers Market held every Thursday evening on the waterfront. I bought some really tasty tomatos and surprise surprise, chiabata bread. I know my Hub will love it too. I always bring him stuff from shopping if possible.
Last, but not least, I got some studio time in, and plan for more today. So until later, keep creating and thanks for stopping by. I love your visits and comments.
